![]() Speaking of excess resources: you should try and avoid having any as much as possible. So you must be building tents pretty much all the time. Gold is even more important in the early game, where you can't sell excess resources with your market. ![]() You can be swimming in wood/stone/iron, if you have no gold, you can't do squat. That way you can expand without using precious, precious space by placing walls everywhere. Early on a single ballista surrounded by walls on 3 sides (so only 6 wall squares total) is enough to hold the first 2 hordes. I go directly to Titans with a bit of Lucifers for flavour. ![]() Snipers need too much microing to be worth their cost. A group of 10 to 20 Rangers (depending on map) is enough for early expansion and are less costly than soldiers. I never use Snipers and Soldiers anymore. (This is also pretty handy since that 130% score is enough to unlock the other maps, which require 110% and 120% score to unlock.) Most players seem to agree that having a few more days, but more zombies, is actually easier than facing less zombies but having less time. Then it's just a matter of being ready for whatever may come. The point is to get the timing down and know what happens and when. ![]() Once you win that one out, make it 130% with 120 days, High Population. Set difficulty to 75% (120 days, Medium Population). Just general things that work kinda well for me so far. ![]()
